The most plentiful is anchovies, which predominates in the eastern part of the sea. Sprat which spawns far from the coast comes second,. In spring it migrates to the western coast. These two species are the base of the food chain for bigger predatory fish. Migratory fish are subject to fishery along our coast, except for the sprat and anchovies, the bluefish, shad, bonito, scad, garfish, gray mullet, pickarel etc. From the demersel fish, the turbot and the goby are of greatest economic importance. Surmullet, whiting and others are fished In small quantities. The mullet, sea wolf and annular bream are of interest for underwater fishing lovers.
